************************************************************************* runlib$detinfo.txt ccd35 (MMT Blue Channel) Detector information file Last change 21-Feb-05 Michael Lesser ************************************************************************* CCD Characterization: The full well is 140,000 electrons (not DN!) unbinned. Note the full well can only be reached with the lower gain setting due to the 16-bit ADC (default). Read noise (including spurious noise) is 2.8 e. The gain is 1.1 e/DN when using the default, high gain setting (detpars.gain = 0 or 1). The gain is 2.4 e/DN, using the low gain setting (detpars.gain = 2). Dark current is less than 15 electrons/pixel/hour. Noise and gain can can also be found from the command "dcapinfo". The command "dcapinfo verb+" will give all documented information on the currently selected CCD (selected by detpars.detname). The normal operating CCD temperature is -121C. CCD Background Information: This is UA/ITL SN3735, a STA0520A 2688x512 15 micron pixel CCD from the UA Foundry run lot 2. It has been backside processed at the University of Arizona Imaging Technology Laboratory. *** History Notes *** 21-Feb-05: Noise and gain measured at the MMT. 24-Feb-03: New CCD installation, dewar modified from original 3kx1k configuration. *** End ***
